I wanted to send a quick message of gratitude and celebration to everyone who has followed my work this year by subscribing and following along! Thank you. Through my silly comics, satirical pieces and even dipping my toes into some illustrated essays - I truly appreciate you all for giving me an outlet for my work.
This year, I was tasked with making some non-denominational holiday postcards to benefit the renovation of our gallery space for work. Both pieces below were done in watercolor and are 5x7/7x5 inches. They were both sold.
As I brainstormed different ideas, I couldn’t stop thinking how a little duck sitting on a ski lift with giant skies on was funny to me. Shouldn’t they be in the south for the winter? How did they get these skis on without thumbs? Why did they think a hat and scarf was enough to go skiing? The duck do I know!
My second postcard depicts the many fits of New Yorkers in the winter months but on everyone’s favorite NYers, the pigeons.

I hoped to work on a new watercolor piece paying homage to everyone’s favorite Christmas movie, Die Hard, but work and a bout of tendonitis in my arm sidelined my plans for now.
